Two professors in the College, Caryn Palatchi and Julio Postigo, received 2024-25 Outstanding Junior Faculty Awards on April 18. The award is given by IU to promising tenure-track faculty nominated by their department chair or academic associate deans. Those selected for the award are given funding to pursue research or creative activities. A reception will be hosted to honor award recipients in the fall.

Read about Douglas' researchVisitors to the Community Gallery in IU's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (IUMAAA), located at 416 N. Indiana Ave. near the heart of the Bloomington campus, can see “Illusions of Identity: The Colonial Gaze,” a small photography exhibition contrasting portrayals of Indigenous people in the U.S. and South Africa. The exhibit runs from Thursday, May 1 to June 1. Admission is free and open to the public.
